I’ve not made it any secret that, of my hockey obsession, the Pens are my favourite team and Maxime Talbot is my favourite player. His personality is so much like mine that I feel like he’s a long-lost twin (yeah, very lost, since he’s nearly 26 years younger than I am). Still, he’s a kind and generous person with a (somewhat) warped sense of humour, he can yap with the best, and he plays his heart out.
Unfortunately, on a Pens team already decimated by injuries, Max sustained what looked to me like a fractured collar bone or a separation of the AC joint on the left, in the game against the Washington Capitals. The “official” word is “upper-body” injury. I know that posture and I am afraid he is out 4-6 weeks. I do so hope I am wrong. (I was- must have just strained the AC- thank the Goddess).
